About This Spot

Walking into Kim’s BBQ, you immediately sense the warm embrace of a quietly refined dining room where the hum of friendly conversation meets the subtle sizzle of the grill at your table. The atmosphere unfolds at an unhurried pace, inviting guests to linger over the shared ritual of Korean barbecue—an experience that blends the art of cooking with convivial connection.

This is no hurried meal but a thoughtful gathering. The attentive touch of the owners, often joining to guide the cooking process, adds a personal dimension that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest invited to partake in a family tradition. The care in service enhances the comfort of the space, creating a cozy spot tucked away in Rolling Hills Estates where details matter as much as the food itself.

WOW Their meat are top PREMIUM quality, not even comparable to what I get from ayce places. Even their dishes look so fancy :) We got the premium combo for $146 or 148 (I forgot already :D) and it was enough for 4 of us. The owner cooked all the meat for us, refilled the banchans twice, and was super friendly. I would go back for sure. Totally recommended!

Cozy Korean bbq restaurant featuring cooking grills at each table. Very glad to have the assistance of the owners to cook the food

Came out for a quick lunch with my beautiful wife. She was craving for bibimbap. Her bibimbap came out smelling incredible with the sizzling burn rice. That crust of burn rice was covered the entire bottom of the stone pot. It was heavenly according to my wife. I got the soontofu and chicken bulgogi. Both were above average for a PV Korean restaurant. The chicken was full of favor. The soon tofu came with lots of tiny seafood chunks that I like, clams, shrimps, oysters, n beef. The banchan was great as well. We have three rounds.

Great new traditional Korean barbecue located near Bristol Farms. Excellent food quality with friendly helpful service. If you're a fan of good Korean barbecue, you will enjoy this place, if you have never tried it and are intimidated, don't be afraid to ask questions as they are extremely helpful. It's not cheap but either is the quality of the food. They did not seem to have a lunch menu or any lunch specials. Take a look at the pictures of the menu I posted to avoid sticker shock once you arrive. Shop and support local!!!

Kim’s Korean BBQ is the only Korean BBQ restaurant in Rolling Hills. While it is expected to get smelly in the BBQ restaurant, at least the dining room is bright and clean. Servers might not be super friendly, but they are accommodating and efficient. Price is reasonable in the area. Highly recommend the flavorful Bone-In Short Rib Soup (US$ 22) and tasty Hot Stone Bi Bim Bap (US$ 24).

So, I'm really picky when it comes to food and the last Korean BBQ place I went to made me not want to get Korean BBQ anymore. But we tried this place and it was excellent. The meats were good quality and tasty. They had just the right sauces and salts, and came around to help us organize and cook the meats. The side dishes were so good and when they ran low, the owners would fill them up again so we were never low on sides. Three bowls of rice was just enough for three people. We ordered the $88 meal which was plenty for three of us and would have been good for four. Will definitely go again.

We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of this new restaurant. So let's break it down. The good: the flavors were really good, the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable (they hustled all night long) and there's plenty of free parking. The bad: online reservation system isn't working yet....but you can't tell that when you submit it....so make your reservations by phone. We waited about 80 minutes to get our food (they only had one chef and one butcher for the grand opening - so I don't think they were prepared to be completely full of customers all night). And finally....there is a seriously strong wind every time the door to the restaurant opens....so we froze being seated next to the door. So they struggled a little with logistics for the grand opening....but the staff clearly cared and put a lot of effort into making the overall experience as positive as possible. Bottom line, we'll give them a few weeks to work through the growing pains....and we'll be back.
